If someone at DESENO emailed you or sent you a LinkedIn request, this page explains how we got your details and what we do with them. Our emails come from addresses ending @desenomedia.com, @desenocreative.com, @desenodigital.com, @desenomarketing.com, @desenosolutions.com, @desenobranding.com or @growthwithdeseno.com. It also tells you how to make us stop. That takes one reply.
DESENO Media Agency Private Limited is a video, design and marketing agency registered in India. We decide how your details are used, so we are responsible for them under UK data protection law (the law calls us the “controller”).
Business information, almost all of it from LinkedIn:
We don’t track whether UK recipients open our emails, and our emails contain no tracking links. We don’t hold your home address, personal phone number or financial details. We don’t look for sensitive information such as health, religion or politics, and we don’t use it if a post happens to mention it. We don’t email personal addresses such as Gmail or Hotmail for UK contacts.
We didn’t get your details from you, which is why we are explaining this now.
We edit video for companies: we turn webinars, product demos, podcasts and talks into short, captioned clips. We contacted you because you run or co-founded a business, usually a software company, that might use that service.
Our legitimate interest is marketing our video editing service to businesses that may need it. The legal basis is legitimate interests, under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR. We think contacting you is fair because:
We have written this reasoning down, and you can ask us for a copy. If you think we got the balance wrong, tell us or the ICO. We also rely on legitimate interests to keep a do-not-contact record if you ask us to stop, and, if we end up working together, to manage that work with you.
We used AI software (Anthropic’s Claude) to read the information above, write the personalised lines in our emails and LinkedIn notes, and flag people we shouldn’t contact, for example because they no longer run the company. That can only mean we contact fewer people. No decision with a legal or similarly significant effect on you is made by automated means.
We won’t add you to a newsletter or mailing list. We don’t sell your details or share them for anyone else’s marketing.
Reply “no” to any of our emails or messages, use the Unsubscribe option your email app shows next to our address, or email hello@deseno.co.in.
This is your absolute right to object to direct marketing, under Article 21 of the UK GDPR. We won’t ask why, and it never expires. Within two working days we add your email address and LinkedIn profile address to our do-not-contact list, which stops all our emails and LinkedIn messages to you for good. If you’d also like us to delete everything else we hold about you, say so and we will.
You can ask us to:
Email hello@deseno.co.in. We’ll reply within one month, and there’s no charge. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. You don’t have to contact us first, though we’d like the chance to put it right.
We’re based in India and use your details there. The service providers below store or handle them for us in the USA, Hong Kong and the EU. India, the USA and Hong Kong don’t have a UK “adequacy” decision. Our larger providers (Google, Microsoft, Anthropic and ClickUp) protect UK data transfers with the UK’s approved contract terms or the UK-US Data Bridge in their data-processing terms. Email hello@deseno.co.in to ask how any particular transfer is protected.
When we contact you on LinkedIn, LinkedIn also processes that message under its own terms with you.
We also contact businesses in India about our marketing services. For these contacts we use business details that are publicly available, such as company websites, Google Maps business listings and industry association directories, and we check email addresses with MillionVerifier. India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies to how we handle your details.
Our Grievance Officer is Ajay Badve (ajay.badve@deseno.co.in), at the address above. Write to him to find out what we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to stop our messages, to nominate someone to act for you, or to make a complaint. He replies within one month. Once the Data Protection Board of India starts taking complaints (the Act’s complaint provisions apply from 13 May 2027), you can also complain to the Board after using our grievance process.
If we change how we do outreach, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
